Hundreds light Sky Lanterns over the Arkansas River for Mother’s Day Charity

Hundreds of people showed up in Little Rock, Arkansas on Sunday (5-13-12) for the “Illuminate the Cure” celebration which occurred on Mother’s Day this year.

Over 1000 Participants showed up to launched Over 500 lanterns in the sky over the Arkansas River for an event where all the proceeds went to the “Susan G. Komen” Foundation for the fight against breast cancer.

The Organizers of the charity hope to make “Illuminate the Cure” a Mother’s Day tradition year after year.

Sky Lanterns were sold on site at the event for $25 each.
